Louis Young, CVA - Director of Client Services

Louis Young is the director of client services with WithumSmith+Brown, PC. He manages business practice issues, regulatory oversight issues and state tax compliance. He also provides assistance with business brokering and business development. His responsibilities include coordinating specialized services for clients. These include, but are not limited to, line-item benchmarking, internal controls, financial statement analysis, fixed operations financial analysis, information safeguarding, operational reviews and warranty analysis.

He assists clients with state regulatory oversight issues, including general compliance, consumer affairs and sales tax issues. He has extensive experience in finance, with emphasis on the automotive industry. He has performed corporate financial planning, automotive factory financial statement analysis and departmental internal control analysis. He has also been involved with mergers and consolidations and cash flow planning.

As a Certified Valuation Analyst, he has been engaged to perform valuations primarily of closely-held companies and family limited partnerships. These valuations have been performed for estate and gift tax purposes and purchasing and selling businesses. He has specialized over the years in analysis of the financial impact for dealerships that have lost their franchise, had their franchise territory infringed by another dealership or had their franchise (brand) eliminate. He also provides assistance in the merger or acquisition of businesses in the automotive industry and markets the firm’s accounting and consulting services to this sector.

Sebastiano Banchitta, CPA - Manager

Sebastiano Banchitta is a manager in the consumer products service line with WithumSmith+Brown, PC. His focus is with automobile dealerships assisting dealer principals with tax planning and preparation on both the business and individual level.  Other responsibilities include executing financial statement engagements such as Audits, Reviews, and Compilations and managing various levels of staff.  In addition to tax and accounting services, he deploys resources to his clients to assist with audits and compliance with various federal, state and local laws.  He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York and New Jersey, involved in various staff training programs with the firm, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA).
